Dazzle Angel’s Inaugural Investment

Updated: Apr 22, 2021

Dazzle Angels - Inaugural investment in Sorted (Pty) Ltd

Dazzle Angels would like to announce our inaugural investment as an angel investment group. When we embarked on this journey in 2019, we were looking to help increase the amount of funding available to female founders in South Africa. We also wanted to invest in businesses that have a positive impact on their community and Sorted does just that.

Founded in 2017 by Daniela Morris and Loyiso Bikitsha, Sorted is a vehicle-licencing platform that automates the process of licence renewals for both individuals and businesses. It is currently rolled out in Cape Town and Gauteng.

Thanks to this investment, the business continues to grow in both scope and footprint.

Most people are familiar with the hassle of having to renew their vehicle licence every year and Daniela, Loyiso and team couldn’t believe that this process was still so manual, so antiquated.

The recognition of this business opportunity has led them to aim to become the go-to authority on all things vehicle-compliance related. The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted the essential need to completely automate this process so that drivers no longer have to stand in queues at Department of Transport offices.

Signing up with Sorted will give you easy access to your status, and allow you to renew and pay your fines - all at the same time, online.

Sorted offerings have begun with automated licence disc renewals, but this is just the beginning. With the 4IR upon us, there is no better time than now to automate and aggregate compliance for businesses and all South African drivers.

Introduced to Dazzle Angels by another Start-Up female founder, Aisha Pandor, CEO of SweepSouth, Aisha’s introduction echoes exactly what Dazzle Angels stands for: Women supporting women in business.
