Tandiwe’s 26-year professional career spans research-based analysis to inform policy development in the United States and South Africa – as well as investment banking in 9 markets in Southern & Central Africa.
Tandiwe has 14 years of experience driving Investment Banking on the African continent, in line with Standard Bank’s growth strategy for Africa.
Having driven commercial activity through the economic cycles – Tandiwe has a comprehensive understanding of the socio economic and political landscape in the Southern and Central Africa
Region – as well as the influences and levers for economic growth in each market.
She has worked with teams across multiple jurisdictions to identify priority projects for the region and deliver sustainable bankable solutions to corporate and public sector clients.
She currently leads a cross border investment banking team in 9 markets to drive the regional growth strategy for the business.
Tandiwe serves on the Board of Trustees for the Student Sponsorship Program - a scholarship program for talented children from economically disadvantaged communities.
Tandiwe has also supported a program at Cosmos City Schools to mentor girls in Grade 9-12.
The objective of the program was to ensure the girls continue with their tertiary education.
She has also previously held Directorships on the Board of the Independent Ports Regulator and the Board of the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library.
